Very early in life, I seemed to know that I was meant to be a doctor. Consequently, at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, I completed all the pre-medical course work while pursuing my BS degree in zoology and chemistry. At that time, I was inclined to go to medical school, made application and was accepted…. but my passion for flying deterred me. Instead of medical school, I competed for and earned a position in the US Navy pilot program. When Congress cut funds in 1970, I and 556 other pilots were sent home to pursue other opportunities in life. Though quite disappointed about this closed door, it proved to be quite providential in redirecting me to my true calling and meeting my future wife. It was after this career path change that I met and married Glenna, we saw her two-year skin condition resolve, and I was unequivocally convinced of the miraculous healing power of chiropractic. It was then I entered Logan College of Chiropractic, in St. Louis Missouri, endured four grueling years and earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Since graduation in 1977, I have been blessed to be a chiropractor. During that time, I have had the opportunity to participate in the health development of tens of thousands of practice members. It is a special treat to interact with people from newborn to centenarian and watch them bloom into better health and function. While chiropractic has been very rewarding professionally, we have been additionally blessed by having the opportunity to raise a vibrant and healthy family without antibiotics, medications, and vaccinations. Our son and daughter competed at high levels of athletic competition in high school and college without missing any appreciable time due to injury or sickness. This is directly attributed to the regular chiropractic care that my family receives.
My Philosophy
I don’t just talk to people about health, wellness, and chiropractic; I do my best to live it. There is nothing more hollow than a de-conditioned doctor advising his patients to exercise and eat well. I have developed a lifestyle of health development. By that I mean, I get adjusted on a weekly basis, exercise 3-4 times per week, eat a healthy diet, take food supplements, and maintain a positive outlook. I do this so that my body functions optimally and I can stay active, healthy and well.
On a Personal Note…
In my free time I enjoy snow skiing, sailing, biking, hiking, tennis, golf, photography and most everything else that we Coloradans are so lucky to be able to do in the great outdoors. I am quite active in our church, state chiropractic association, local Rotary club, and family activities. My plan is to live an active healthy life for as long as I have a heartbeat.
Enough about me! What do you want to be different? How can we help you through today’s state of the art chiropractic care? Give us a call at (303) 578-4580 or email me with the link listed, so we can arrange a time to explore your health goals and options.
Dr. Ryan Warhurst
“I’ll be honest, I thought long and hard about becoming a chiropractor but I did not choose chiropractic, chiropractic chose me.”
When I was a baby, I was very ill; I had all the symptoms of a devastating disease. I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. The prognosis for this disease was very bleak. My parents were told that I would not live past my teenage years.
Having been given very little hope from the medical community, my parents were yet bound and determined to do things differently. They decided I was not going to be immersed into allopathic care if I was already given a death sentence. The care I was going to receive would be natural and holistic so that my body would have a chance to heal from the inside out and come closer to my inborn genetic potential. My parents decided to put me under the care of a highly recommended chiropractor and after being seen very regularly for 6 months as a little baby my symptoms of cystic fibrosis diminished greatly and eventually were completely gone, never to return.
My Philosophy
You see, chiropractic saved my life and that is how I know chiropractic chose me and that is why I do what I do. I am a chiropractor whose goal is to change people’s lives by enabling their bodies to function optimally as our Creator designed. I know this is possible because I have lived it since birth. Chiropractic has allowed me to live an active healthy life without the use of any medications, antibiotics, vaccines, and I want to do that for others.
A Chiropractic Education
My educational background includes Baylor University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. After under-grad I wanted a break from school so I lived and worked in Vail for a winter then traveled through Europe. At the end of this break I entered chiropractic school and went to Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri where I graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in December of 2003. Immediately after graduating, I moved to Broomfield to join the Warhurst Family Chiropractic Team.
On a Personal Note…
I very much enjoy living and practicing in Broomfield, the people are amazing and the lifestyle is hard to beat. There are so many great things available to do, but by far my favorite activities are skiing, hiking, biking, running, swimming, golf, and basketball. Above all, I love being active and living a healthy life, and I know if it were not for chiropractic I would be unable to do so. To stay healthy and well, I get adjusted on a weekly basis, exercise 4-5 times a week, eat a healthy diet, and make sure to take my vitamins.
Since joining the Warhurst Family Chiropractic Team, I have had the opportunity to impact the lives and health of hundreds of individuals and families. This includes newborns, energetic children, elite athletes, busy mothers, hardworking fathers, and active seniors. I want to make it clear that I do not do the healing, I simply remove the interference to the nervous system so that the body can heal itself. With chiropractic care and lifestyle changes, we have seen dramatic health development in individuals like these.
I know that I can help change the life and health of you and your family, if you only give me the chance to do so. I consider myself an excellent listener and I look forward to the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health goals. Yours for health,
Ryan Warhurst D.C.
